Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on a wide range of real estate-related issues, including property ownership, contracts, lease agreements, zoning regulations, and environmental compliance.
- Draft and review legal documents, such as purchase agreements, easements, covenants, and title reports.
- Stay up-to-date on current legal developments and legislation impacting the real estate industry.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, including property managers, developers, and sales teams, to provide legal guidance and counsel.
- Manage legal risk by identifying and mitigating potential issues throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Conduct due diligence on property transactions and advise on potential legal exposures.
- Negotiate and resolve legal disputes, seeking favorable outcomes for the company.
- Maintain comprehensive legal records and documentation.
- Provide support to other departments on legal matters as needed.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a real estate law firm or related environment.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent communication, written and verbal, skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in legal research databases and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
